PTO Membership is FREE!

In an effort to promote a sense of unity and community between parents and teachers at Crockett, all parents have free membership to the PTO.

The PTO helps our school's needs that are outside the scope of their budget. When you go a step further and volunteer to help with events—or join our board— you set a fine example for our students to follow, and greatly encourage our teachers and staff.

  • How do I get involved in the PTO? Every parent or guardian at Crockett is a member of our PTO, there are no dues to pay. We encourage you to become involved and ask that each parent volunteers for at least 2 events during the school year. We have numerous opportunities for you to participate. Volunteering is a great way to build relationships with fellow parents and get to know our wonderful Crockett community. Please visit the volunteer section of the PTO website for more information.

  • Do I have to attend meetings?
No, but you are welcome to attend our general meetings. It's a great way to find out what's going on and how you can get involved. We always publicize when we have guest speakers scheduled (Ex. WCS Superintendent, safety experts and more).

  • Are there opportunities for working parents to be involved? We know that many of our parents work and want every Crockett parent to have opportunities to be involved at school. There will be activities through the year where working parents can plug in and help. Please reach out to us anytime. We love when volunteers come to us! In addition, your child’s classroom teacher may have opportunities for you to help in various ways.

  • Where do I find a directory of Crockett families?
The directory of Crockett families is only accessible through our PTO website. You must have an account to view this directory. Families can choose whether or not their information is shown in the directory when they create an account.

  • What is the role of a room parent? Our room parents are very important! The room parent serves as a liaison between teacher and class as well as helps with various tasks including purchasing class gifts, planning class parties and recruiting classroom volunteers.

  • What is INVEST In Your Child? You will have the opportunity to donate to your PTO through the INVEST in your Child Campaign. We ask parents to make your donation at the beginning of the school year. This donation funds all PTO programming for the school year and eliminates the traditional fundraising programs such as selling wrapping paper, candy bars, etc. Your Invest donations have a direct impact on your child's classroom.
