PTO Frequently Asked Questions
Welcome to the Crockett PTO!
Every Crockett parent or guardian is automatically a member of the PTO—there are no membership dues. Our mission is to strengthen the connection between families, teachers, and our school community while providing resources and experiences that enrich every student's education.
The PTO funds programs, events, classroom support, campus improvements, and teacher appreciation initiatives that go beyond the school's operating budget.
Whether you volunteer for one event or become a committee or board member, your time and talents make a meaningful difference.
How can I get involved?
There are so many ways to help! Whether you have an hour to volunteer or want to take on a leadership role, we'd love to have you.
We encourage every family to volunteer for at least two events each school year. Volunteering is a wonderful way to meet other families, support our teachers, and become part of the Crockett community.
Visit our Volunteer Page to learn about upcoming opportunities and sign up.
Do I have to attend PTO meetings?
Not at all! PTO meetings are optional, but everyone is welcome.
Our meetings are a great way to stay informed about what's happening at Crockett, hear updates from school leadership, and occasionally enjoy presentations from guest speakers, including Williamson County Schools administrators and community partners.
I work during the day. Can I still volunteer?
Absolutely! We know our families have different schedules, so we offer volunteer opportunities during the day, evenings, weekends, and even from home. Whether you can help at an event, prepare materials, or support behind the scenes, there's a place for everyone.
If you're looking for a way to get involved, we'd love to help you find the perfect fit.
Where can I find the Crockett Family Directory?
The Family Directory is available exclusively through our PTO website.
To access the directory, simply create a Membership Toolkit account. Families choose what information, if any, they'd like to include, giving everyone control over their privacy.
What does a Room Parent do?
Room Parents play an important role in supporting our teachers and classrooms throughout the year.
Responsibilities may include:
- Serving as the communication link between the teacher and families
- Coordinating classroom volunteers
- Assisting with classroom celebrations
- Organizing class gifts and teacher appreciation activities
Room Parents help make the school year run smoothly and create memorable experiences for our students.
What is Invest in Crockett?
Invest in Crockett is our annual giving campaign and the PTO's primary fundraiser.
Rather than asking families to sell products throughout the year, we invite you to make a tax-deductible donation at the beginning of the school year. This allows 100% of every donation to stay at Crockett, directly benefiting our students, teachers, and school community.
Invest donations help fund:
- Teacher grants and classroom resources
- Student enrichment programs
- Technology and campus improvements
- Family engagement events
- Teacher appreciation
- School-wide programs and special initiatives
Your support has a direct impact on every child at Crockett, and together we're able to provide opportunities that wouldn't otherwise be possible.
